
Najeeb Ghauri
Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of NetSol
As CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Najeeb Ghauri spearheads the company's growth and expansion plans. He was responsible for the milestone achievement of getting NetSol listed on USA's NASQAQ stock exchange in 1999.
He received his bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University, and earned an MBA in marketing from the Drucker School of Management at The Claremont Graduate School . Prior to launching NetSol in the U.S.A, Najeeb had over 15 years of combined marketing and management experience with Fortune 500 companies such as Unilever and Atlantic Richfield Corporation (ARCO).
He was elected Vice Chairman of US Pakistan Business Council in 2006, a Washington D.C. based council of US Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Ghauri is also very active in several philanthropic activities in emerging markets and is a founding director of Pakistan Human Development Fund, a partnership with UNDP to promote literacy, health services and poverty alleviation in Pakistan . He is a board member at the newly created U.S. Pakistan Business Council in Washington, D.C., and is also on the board of M4 International, Inc., a California-based executive consulting firm.

Naeem Ghauri brings a wealth of IT experience from the global lease/finance industry and tremendous business management experience in international markets. He has been instrumental in marketing complex financial products and solutions and forming strategic alliances and partnerships. He had set up NetSol's European office and was involved in acquiring two companies that complement NetSol's services in sophisticated financial products and services.
He has a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering from Chelsea College of Aeronautical Engineering, UK, and a degree in Computer Science from CLC, Los Angeles.
From 1994-1999, he was a senior IT consultant with various blue-chip companies in Europe. At Debis, he managed the Hercules Project, a complex and challenging project valued in excess of $70 million. It involved supervising over 200 project managers, developers, analysts and users in nine European countries.
Prior to taking on the Hercules Project, Naeem was a senior project manager in Singapore with Mercedes. From 1983-1995, he held various assignments in Australia and the United Kingdom with Citibank and Fidelity Investments, respectively, in data processing departments. He also ran several successful business ventures in retail computers and in the real estate industry in Australia.

Salim Ghauri

Salim Ghauri is the founder of NetSol Technologies (previously Network Solutions) and the visionary force behind the company. He is now the CEO and Chairman of NetSol Technologies Ltd. (the Company's center of technological excellence located in Pakistan listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE: NTWK)) and also oversees the company's business in the Asia Pacific Region.
Salim Ghauri is recognized as a leading IT icon of Pakistan. He received his BS degree in Computers Science from the University of Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan.
Before establishing NetSol Technologies Ltd., he was a successful IT consultant in Australia. His last assignment was with BHP Steel in Sydney. As a system integrator, he was responsible for software and hardware solutions. His main achievement was the introduction of a PC-based network in BHP Steel. From 1988-89, he consulted with the State Rail Authority of NSW Australia for its MIS reporting.
Prior to moving to Australia, he resided in Saudi Arabia, where he started his IT career at Citibank, Riyadh in 1979. Mr. Ghauri is credited with setting up the first IT-based training institute and a software house in Damam, Saudi Arabia. In 2007, Mr. Ghauri was appointed as an Honorary Consul for Australia-Punjab Region.

Eugen Beckert
Director & Chair of Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee
Eugen Beckert, a native of Germany, has served as a director of NetSol since August 2001. Mr. Beckert worked with Mercedes-Benz AG/DaimlerChrysler AG in business and systems development from 1973. In 1992, he was appointed Director of Global IT (CIO) for Debis Financial Services, the services division of Daimler Benz. In 1996, he took over as Director of Processes and Systems (CIO) for Financial Services of DaimlerChrysler Asia Pacific Services, located in Singapore. During this time, he was instrumental in the launch of LeaseSoft (now NFS) in several countries, acting as a pilot customer. As Director and Vice President of Operations & IT he moved to Tokyo in 2001 and served three years in the local finance company of DaimlerChrysler Services. Mr. Beckert retired from DaimlerChrysler in 2006. Mr. Beckert is the chairman of the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee and a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees.

Shahid Javed Burki

Shahid Javed Burki has served as a Director since 2003. Prior to joining the Board, Mr. Burki had a distinguished career with the World Bank where he held a number of senior positions including: Chief of Policy Planning (1974-1981); Director of International Relations (1981-1987); Director of China Department (1987-1994); and Vice President of Latin America and the Caribbean Region (1994-1999) . In 1996-1997, Mr. Burki took a leave of absence from the World Bank to act as Finance Minister of Pakistan. Upon early retirement from the World Bank, Mr. Burki acted as CEO of the Washington-based investment firm EMP Financial Advisors from 1992-2002. Presently, he is the Chairman of the Institute of Public Policy, a think tank associated with Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, Pakistan. He also spends some time each year as Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies, National Singapore University. Mr. Burki also has a distinguished academic background. Mr. Burki was educated at Government College, Lahore where he received his M.Sc. in Physics. Mr. Burki also attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar where he received his M.A. (Hons) in Economics; at Harvard University as a Mason Fellow where he received an M.P.A. and also studied for a Ph.D. in Economics (not completed). In 1997, he received a Diploma in Advanced Management from Harvard University's Business School. Mr. Burki has authored several books and articles on development issues including Study of Chinese Communes (Harvard University Press, 1969); Pakistan Under Bhutto (Macmillan, 1990); Changing Perceptions, Altered Reality: Pakistan's Economy Under Musharraf, 1999-2006 (Oxford University Press, 2007). He is currently working on a book, Changing Asia to be published later this year by Routledge, London. Mr. Burki is a chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Compensation and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees.

Mark Caton
Director & Chair of Compensation Committee
Mr. Caton joined the board of directors in 2007 and is currently President of Centela Systems, Inc. a distributor of computer peripheral solutions in the multimedia and digital electronic market segment, a position he held since 2003. Prior to joining Centela, Mr. Caton was President of NetSol Technologies USA, responsible for US sales, from June 2002 to December 2003. Mr. Caton was employed by ePlus from 1997 to 2002 as Senior Account Representative. He also served as a director of NetSol from 2002 to 2003. Mr. Caton received his BA in Psychology from UCLA in 1971. He is Chairman of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Audit and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees.

Alexander Shakow, Phd
Director
Dr. Shakow has enjoyed a distinguished career with the World Bank where he held various high level positions from 1981-2002. Since 2002, he has been an independent consultant for a number of international agencies. From 1968-1981 Dr. Shakow worked for the United States Agency for International Development where he held several high level positions, including Assistant Administrator for Program and Policy; Director, Office of Development Planning, Asia Bureau; and Director of Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore Affairs. Dr. Shakow was also a senior official of the United States Peace Corps from 1963-1967, including Director for Indonesia and Director of Volunteer Training. Dr. Shakow received his PhD in Economics from the University of London/London School of Economics in 1962. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Swarthmore College in 1958.
Dr. Shakow is listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Business and Finance, and Who's Who in the World. Dr. Shakow is a member of the Audit, Compensation and Nomination and Corporate Governance Committees. |
